Description

The Edifier R1280T's remote control is straightforward. In addition to the volume buttons, it also contains a mute button. As for treble and bass, you'll have to use the controls on the active speaker's left side to fine-tune them. On the other hand, the Edifier R1280DBs and R1280Ts feature an external subwoofer that provides a more immersive, surround-sound experience. While the performance difference between the Edifier R1280DB, R1280DBs, R1280T, and R1280Ts is subtle, it's still a difference that you'll notice when your tunes are on full blast.

The design of the Edifier R1280T and R1280Ts might be the same but the quality of the sound is not. Upon playing and comparing the two Edifier speakers, the Edifier R1280Ts produces a strong bass and an impactful sound. Contrarily, the Edifier R1280T has a studio-quality sound; a sound with rich lows and bright clear highs. In other words, both Edifier R1280T and Edifier R1280Ts have decent sound. If you want your speakers to have natural sound, Edifier R1280T is a great choice. Otherwise, for an impressive impactful sound, Edifier R1280Ts can be chosen. Since I prefer speakers with stronger bass, Edifier R1280Ts rule my heart. I had high expectations and they were met! The sound quality Edifier provides at this price range is absolutely too good. I am an audiophile and the level of detail in the sound of these speakers is really noticeable. Due to the similarity of the other features of both speakers, there is not much difference in sound quality. Both speaker pairs sound fantastic and are very affordable. What’s necessary to communicate first is that the Edifier R1280T and Edifier R1280Ts are both 2.0 stereo active bookshelf speakers. The stereo active speakers are the speakers that combine all the components of the stereo system(traditional stereo system) into one pair of speakers. In each dimension, both speakers are equal. Dimensions of R1280db are 5.75(W) x 9.5(H) x 7(D) inches, and those of R1280e are 5.75(W) x 9.5(H) x 7(D) inches. 3. Connection TypesAdditionally they often emphasize the importance of placement, here is an example: https://www.svsound.com/blogs/subwoofer-setup-and-tuning/75365187-the-art-of-subwoofer-placement Never got a chance to know what makes the Edifier R1280T different from Edifier R1280Ts? Well, in my view it’s certainly not the “s”. One of these two options can be an upgraded version of the previous version. Or even if an already existing speaker is not improved, one of them would surely be expensive and better performing. Connecting a mobile device via Bluetooth is also incredibly easy if you want to go wireless, too. Just set the speakers’ input to Bluetooth using the remote, and go through the usual steps connecting via Bluetooth on your device.

This is why most A-class brands (like SVS, Bang & Olufsen, etc) often come up with room correction features, adjusted either manually or automatically. The EQ adapts itself to the placement (room, corner, center, etc) for a better (deeper and more accurate) sound. Which is great. The Edifier 1280DB produces decent quality sound with plenty of volumes and a decent separation of instruments within the music. The sound is neutral and natural, especially at low volumes. Unlike many other small speakers, which tend to sound boxy, you can tell that this speaker is made of quality components. MORE BASS: The R1280Ts features a subwoofer output port for connecting to an external subwoofer (sold separately)Moreover, the side panel has three knobs having different functions. The lower one is to increase and decrease the volume. You can control the bass from the middle knob and control the treble from the upper one. The retro look makes one think the speaker is multiple times the size it is. That said, I definitely appreciate the form factor as it is the largest I like to have for computer desktop use. I find the grill very attractive but to be a purist, I measured the R1280 without it and listened to it the same. The appearances of both speakers are very similar; you won’t notice much of a difference. They both look and feel similar. If the Edifier R1280DBs’ elegant design, easy setup, multiple input options, and sub output aren’t enough to convince you, its solid performance will. Compared to the Edifier R1280T, the R1280DB has a stronger bass. The bass is not as punchy as the bass of the R1280T, but it still offers enough frequency response to feel it.
