Trivia Question: The Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman said the studio audience wanted these two characters to fall in love. Who were they? Trivia Question: What is the name of the song that Ross sings to his daughter Emma to get her to stop crying?

Home / Trivia Games and Apps / Trivial Pursuit / Why Are There No Official Trivial Pursuit Mobile Apps? What Alternatives Do You Have? Why Are There No Official Trivial Pursuit Mobile Apps? What Alternatives Do You Have? The makers of Trivial Pursuit partnered with Gameloft in 2015 to launch a mobile game called Trivial Pursuit & Friends. The game allowed players to play online, with friends and strangers. There were weekly online competitions, where you could test your knowledge in specific areas against all other players in the world. Unfortunately, the app was not as successful as the brand thought. It did not survive and is no longer available on smartphones and tablets. Trivial Pursuit & Friends Screentime Adaptation: You have to agree that everyone covers their eyes while the spymaster with the actual game at their home indicates to the remote captain which cards are their team’s to guess. Then, dedicate one screen to the cards on the table (prop them upright against a wall or use a tripod to angle your camera down over the cards) and you’re all set to play! Trivia Question: Chandler falls asleep during a work meeting and accidentally agrees to move to which city/state?Trivia Question: In the series finale, Chandler and Monica move into a house in NJ. Who is their neighbor? Other than those two issues, there’s not much to complain about. Trivial Pursuit Live! 2 is fun, varied, and the vibrant game show-style presentation adds some excitement to the experience as you see yourself standing high over your rivals on the podium. The online multiplayer ensures that you don’t need friends over to have competitive fun too, with it possible to face off against three other players in online showdowns – I’ve had a few games so far and it’s been surprisingly addictive, though I’ve also seen a lot of sour players drop out when I’ve been on the cusp of victory too. We can’t all be winners, right?! Wits & Wagers adds a unique twist to traditional trivia games by incorporating elements of gambling and strategy. Players answer questions and then bet on whose answer is closest to the correct one, even if it’s not their own. This game mechanic encourages friendly competition and strategic thinking, as players must weigh the risks and rewards of each wager. The game is perfect for groups of friends or family members who enjoy a good challenge and some lighthearted taking of punts. This edition contains 600 questions based on all your favourite moments from Ross and Rachel’s Vegas wedding, to the classic Holiday Armadillo. Test your trivia from Season 1 right through to Season 10 and prepare to be totally bamboozled. Moreover, the app offers a wide range of categories to choose from, including sports, history, science, and pop culture, ensuring that there is something for everyone.

Players earn wedges by hitting certain point thresholds during each game, with points awarded for answering questions correctly. The final round is a lot more generous at handing out wedges though, with players rewarded with one if they manage to get all five questions of a specific topic correct; this might seem challenging, but it’s a multiple choice with just two answers on offer, so you’ve got a 50% chance of getting a question right even by guessing. Codenames is another family favorite game that’s perfect for tweens, teens and adults, and can definitely be played over Zoom, FaceTime, or any video chat. You just need a few simple adjustments to make it work. It’s a social word game that’s played in two teams, each with a “spymaster” who knows the secret identity of 25 agents. Take turns giving one-word clues to your team, to help them guess the correct 5 five words from a grid of 20 that will help them identify the agent. The rules are so simple, it’s a great one even for beginners (i.e. grandparents) who want to join in.

And where once a meeting of the minds where life’s minutiae was concerned essentially meant bringing out the Trivial Pursuit box, now the scope for trivia games has widened hugely. From trivia bingo games and boardgame versions of your favourite TV shows (see: Pointless, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? And more), all the way to interactive online affairs aimed at a younger crowd, never has the world of trivia been more open, accessible and inclusive.

Trivia Question: Rachel plans a birthday party for her daughter Emma. What was the cake supposed to be in the shape of? Based on the popular prime time TV show of the same name, The Chase is a board game where you need to pit your general knowledge against the brains of one of the four chasers. Choose between The Beast, The Governess, The Sinnerman, and The Destroyer and outperform them to win. The Bottom Line No list of trivia games would be complete without mentioning the classic Trivial Pursuit, of which we have already mentioned several times, we realise! Trivia Question: The father of Rachel’s baby is a secret for a while, and all they have to go on is the sweater he left in her apartment. What color was the infamous sweater? Those who wanted to play the good old-fashioned way could very well do so, too. However, people were excited to try the app. The game was initially available on the AppStore and GooglePlay. Shuffle Trivial Pursuit offered a fun and unusual format for all trivia lovers. Players had to play against a timer, and if one team failed to answer before the time ran out, the other team got a point. All those who loved classic Trivial Pursuit questions and categories had a blast playing the game. This version of the game is basically the same as the one mentioned above. The main difference is that it was released in 2018 due to the Switch being a later condole release than the PS4 and Xbox One. Like the other versions, however, there seem to be some issues with online play, meaning that it is much more fun as a couch play type of game with friends and family in the same room. Adapted difficulty levels and catch up rounds mean that the trivia buff in the family won’t be running away with this version of the game as can sometimes happen in the original board game. This makes for a much more rewarding gameplay experience for everyone involved. Trivial Pursuit Steam Trivial Pursuit is an established brand and as a result, it is fair to expect that it would have a robust presence in the digital market. This, however, is simply not the case. There is basically nothing available for those looking to play on the PC with the feel of an actual game of Trivial Pursuit, while there is nothing at all available on phones or tablets. This game is unlike the Trivial Pursuit board game that many people are used to. There is no board, there are no dice, instead the format is based more around that of a quiz show as you try to prove your knowledge is superior to those you are playing against. These competitors can either be on the couch with you – the best way to play the game for the sake of rivalry and banter – or online against people from all over the world. You can also play against the AI in a pinch. You can choose from a wide variety of categories to play in. The categories range from general knowledge, animals, and other broad subjects, to Harry Potter, How I Met Your Mother, and more niche subjects. To adapt for playing virtually with your group, you generate a private room and then share that custom link with your people. Each person sees the board as appropriate on their own screens. We keep Zoom open on a second monitor so we can still see each others’ faces, but it could just as easily work with a phone conference call or any other platform that lets you talk with each other. It’s really enjoyable stuff, with the unpredictability of the questions and variety offered between rounds ensuring Trivial Pursuit Live! 2 doesn’t stop being competitive. In fact, I’ve played it multiple nights with friends now and we haven’t even started to get bored yet, so it definitely provides an addictive quizzing fix for party nights. Just expect a few sour faces when someone thinks they’re going to win… only to lose it in that last round. Unfortunately, the game did not make the stir they expected it to make. Many players still prefer the original board game format over the video game format. Though the idea is outstanding and Trivial Pursuit fans all over the world would love to play the game via game console, the execution is not there yet. Users have complained about the difficulty of gameplay and bugs. With its witty and humorous content, it not only provides entertainment but also enhances the cognitive abilities of the players by testing their knowledge and analytical skills. The game can be played in groups or individually, making it an ideal choice for parties, gatherings or even during solo leisure time. Founded in 2010, Thought Catalog is owned and operated by The Thought & Expression Company, Inc. For over a decade, we've been at the bleeding edge of media, pioneering an infrastructure for creatives to flourish both artistically and financially. PS – Zoom recently announced they are lifting the 40-minute limit on Thanksgiving day!! Woo hoo! ReplyTrivia360is another trivia app for those who appreciate simplicity in design and gameplay. The app is free and comes with thousands of trivia questions in different categories. As an added feature, you can even submit your own questions and rate the questions you get. There are many trivia apps out there and it seems like – for now at least – Hasbro Games are content to leave the digital space for other developers while concentrating on their core brand of board games to be played physically and in person. It requires a little bit of effort to play virtually, but we also love Who, What, Where, which is a drawing game.
