About this deal

Are the movements (62000 vs 31000) the same on the DiamondClear and the *100 series? I saw the discussion above but wasn’t sure to what conclusion you came. As far as I am aware the 3x, 5x, 7x plaque removal is related more to studies about the brush heads, but the brush handles will/do have some bearing.

The NewMouth editorial team analyzed dozens of different products available today to determine the available products. But the technique is different for the different technologies too. The correct way to use an Oral-B toothbrush is different to a Sonicare. So, whilst the studies may suggest Oral-B is better, if someone used a Sonicare with the correct technique, compared to an Oral-B user with the incorrect technique, the Sonicare would likely perform better for that user.Philips has many years of manufacturing, research, and design experience. I trust that they have done a good job and learned from any previous mistakes. I nor Sonicare would ever suggest 100% reliability, but the failure rate should be very low indeed. Having used many different models and different cleaning modes from both brands, Oral-B’s clean can feel more abrasive/aggressive. You are left with a ‘clean’ feeling, this can be at the expense of a slightly more uncomfortable clean for some people. Sonicare models feel softer and more delicate whilst still leaing your mouth feeling clean and fresh. No clinical studies or comparisons have been made and I would believe the possible differences or improvements between each to be clinically insignificant.

Keep the power on/off button pressed until you hear a series of three short beeps (after 7 seconds). Some variance in the battery life will come as a result of the different cleaning modes that run for longer and brushing intensities, but I achieved 20 days on the 3 minute long Gum Care mode and 37 with the 2 minute long Clean mode. That is quite a bit longer than 2 weeks. This does impact the usable battery life with most models offering just 2 weeks on a full charge, whereby the ProtectiveClean can offer a good couple of weeks extra life from the standard cleaning mode. All being well you agree with my thoughts, even if you haven’t gone hands on with the other models. Reply Petroleum based plastic is used in the construction of the brush which uses up the planet’s finite resources compared to using plant-based plastics. Pressing the power button switches between these and gives the option of a more gentle or more intense setting.

This is just 1 part of the BrushSync feature, the 6100 is the only brush handle in the ProtectiveClean range to offer the BrushSync mode pairing. Don’t worry if you end up activating the pressure sensor occasionally, I still do. You just want to correct frequent forceful brushing. Reminds you when your brush head needs replacing However, the 4300 Series (HX3684/23) comes with 2 x C2 Optimal Plaque Control brush head rather than 1. Plus, a slim travel case is provided in the box.Triple tone of low-med-high means the EasyStart feature has been activated. The battery level light indicator will also blink green 2 times to confirm activation. A pressure sensor alerts you when you apply too much force to the teeth and gums as you brush. It is a feature that our dentists prefer to be present in an electric brush. What this does is tell you, via an LED on the brush handle when it is time to change or replace your brush head.
