After watching the first episode of the anime I knew I had to have more of this series and I got super happy seeing there's 26 episodes rather than a mere 13. If you've missed the hype surrounding this series (one of the highest revenue properties on the planet over the past couple years), let me fill you in a bit. The story of Demon Slayer takes place in a world where demons roam and terrorize humans. The main characters are demon hunters, individuals who fight to protect humans from demons and to avenge loved ones they have lost. The protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado, is a teenager who lost his family except for his younger sister, Nezuko, who was turned into a demon. He sets out on a quest to find a way to heal her and return her to her human form.

It is a good tv-show it is good for kids 11+ 5-star show My Child enjoyed it He's not 11 but he was fine it teaches you never give up hope Synopsis: The fight with Kokushibo, the highest-ranking demon among Muzan's servants, is over. Although Himejima and Sanemi defeated Kokushibo and sent him to hell, the price the Demon Slayer Corps has paid is very high. Kiriya Ubuyashiki, the new leader of the Demon Slayers, struggles to recover from the losses. With the battle against Muzan far from over, the remaining fighters will need his help more than ever. Meanwhile, deep within Infinity Castle, Tanjiro and his friends come face-to-face with their nemesis at last… I was struggling with giving this book a 3 or a 4 because there were aspects I reeeeally liked about it, but finally decided for a 3 (3.5 if it were possible) since the aspects I disliked outweight the good stuff, and some of the greatest aspects became negative at some point in the story.I like this setup; it really does feel like Inuyasha! But in a different way, a good way, really!! I found the spider family arc so so creepy yet so... humanizing? I think everyone's attitude towards demons are going to shift. That's actually really exciting!! The setup is pretty interesting. In this world there are demons who can walk around at night and feed on humans, a bit like how Vampires work in fiction but they have more variation in their design. Our main protagonist is the young Tanjiro who's taken in as a demon slayer after his family is murdered by a demon and his sister is infected. He hides his demon sister and tries to train her to be good, which is unheard of.

Not my favourite manga, but it's certainly up in the top 5 without a doubt. I chose to read this as I was struggling with the anime but could tell there was a story there that I would enjoy. I watch it with my 8 year old son. He is absolutely obsessed with it. He’s 8 but we haven’t sheltered him from much at all growing up. He watched Deadpool (over and over) at age 6 with no issues. Synopsis: After centuries of preparation and training, the Demon Slayer Corps has come face-to-face with their greatest enemy, Muzan Kibutsuji. It is a desperate battle, and several Demon Slayers have already been killed. Tanjiro himself has engaged Muzan. Despite giving it everything he has, Tanjiro gets taken out of the fight! But although he is severely injured and near death, he sees a vision of his ancestor that may hold the key to finally destroying Muzan! So this review comes from a perspective who has watched the anime first before the manga. Should you read it even if you've already watched Demon Slayer? Is it worth it?Synopsis: For the first time in over 100 years, the upper ranks of Muzan Kibutsuji's Twelve Kizuki are not full. Angered, Muzan dispatches the survivors on another mission. Elsewhere, Tanjiro journeys to a village of swordsmiths and has to explain how his sword was so badly damaged to Hotaru Haganezuka, the swordsmith who made it. While Tanjiro waits for his sword to be repaired, enemies close in… El arte del manga es muy similar al anime. Me agrada. Es prolijo, lindo y siento que tiene un toque diferente. Creo que la animación le hace justicia y lo mantiene fiel. so i will admit most people would say this is 14+ but while i do agree with that at my age of 12 the story quite apeals and it has great role models so for all the good there is the bad, the tons of violence but trust your instincts so you decide but take this to heart Synopsis: Tanjiro goes to see the Stone Hashira, Himejima, who intends to prepare him for the battles to come. The training to become a Hashira—a high-ranking member of the Demon Slayer Corps—is intense and demanding. Earning Himejima's approval seems impossible, but Tanjiro won't give up! Meanwhile, the demon lord Muzan continues to search for the location of Nezuko and Ubuyashiki. Tanjiro, the protagonist of the series, is a character driven by love for his family and a strong sense of justice. After the tragic loss of his family and the transformation of his sister into a demon, he becomes a demon slayer. Tanjiro's story is the heart of the manga series, as he seeks to avenge his family and find a cure for his sister.

It’s good, just similar to other manga I’ve read. I found it predictable. It’s charming, for sure. I just wish I had came across this earlier in my otaku career. A good description of this would be “bland but trying not be.” This entire series is magic, addictive. The art style. The pacing. The MCs. The bonds of family and friendship. It's. All. Stunning. Of course this volume has one of my favorite characters and that would be the incredible Sabito! I would LOVEEEEEE to see more of him in this manga! I don't know what it is about him, but he is just amazing. Two chapters of him (and a little bit in a third) is not enough for me!One thing that I didn't get in the anime is the opening thread that Tanjiro sees. I understand what it does, but I didn't get HOW he suddenly got this ability. I didn't realize that it's because he can SMELL the thread! :o :o :o That was cleared up in the manga and really appreciated that because I just sort of thought it "appeared" because "it just does" when Tanjiro uses concentration breathing. In Demon Slayer, we follow our mc Tanjiro, whose family is one day murdered by a demon. The only survivor is his younger sister Nezuko- except she is turning into a demon! Determined to save his sister and avenge his family, Tanjiro begins training to become a demon slayer. And the story goes on from there... Demon Slayer, also known as Kimetsu no Yaiba in Japanese, is a popular manga and anime that has gained popularity in recent years. It was created by Koyoharu Gotouge and was first published in 2016.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Vol. 23: Volume 23 Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Vol. 23: Volume 23

I've seen the anime, and it is indeed and visual and auditory feast. However, there's a lot of nuances in the manga that don't carry over to the screen. For example, I've always thought Tanjiro suffered from survivor's guilt. It's pretty subtle but it is implied. Coupled with their sibling bond, that's why Tanjiro will never let go of Nezuko until he's found the cure to her demon nature. It stems from being the only sibling away from home when a demon killed all of his family and infected Nezuko. OK, technically I didn't read the entire manga. I only started reading it after the entertainment district season aired and I didn't know what to do with the rest of my life lol. Synopsis: Despite some comedic misunderstandings that almost blew their cover, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu have smoked out Daki, a Demon that has been devouring the residents of an entertainment district for years. The Hashira Tengen Uzui and his ninja companions engage Daki, but if they cannot handle her, what chance do Tanjiro and his friends have of taking on one of Kibutsuji's Upper-Rank Demons by themselves?

Synopsis: Tanjiro and Tomioka confront Akaza, the Upper-Rank 3 demon. Against Akaza's overwhelming strength, the two find themselves unable to do anything but defend themselves. With the situation looking grim, Tanjiro awakens to the Transparent World his father once told him about. Will this new knowledge allow Tanjiro to turn the tables and go on the offensive against Akaza? Common Sense is the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of all kids and families by providing the trustworthy information, education, and independent voice they need to thrive in the 21st century. I am not a fan of this series nor its artwork (the artwork is fine........but at the same time it is uninspiring), but the story is fast-paced and effective and there is a bit of a heart-aching twist in the end, so 4.5 stars.
