About this deal

It is though a completely standalone story, so please don't worry if you haven't read the previous five amazing books in this series. A gorgeous love story, a beguiling romance that transported me to the most beautiful places on earth with characters I adored from the start. It's perfectly pitched between funny, sexy, tender and downright heartbreaking. I loved it .” Not only are the scones freshly baked and the clotted cream Rodda’s (of course), but you’ll get to enjoy sweeping views across National Trust farmland and glittering sea as you feast on clotted cream and jam. After your indulgent cream tea, you can take a look around the farm shop where you’ll find a variety of locally produced goodies including their famous burgers! West Cornwall Yellow Canary The people of Devon believe their method makes the most sense as cream is like butter and you wouldn’t put butter on jam, plus you can get more cream on the scone if you put it on first. It’s also believed that it originated from when jam was expensive, so you’d only put a little on top.

This was a joy to read, I absolutely love this author and this was another top not bit of writing from her. I loved every second of this story, and didn't want it to end. I felt as though I was in Cornwall with the characters, and loved the immersion I had in this fabulous story. I was a bit of a late starter with this series, having only started reading them a couple of months ago. I have however, loved them all and whizzed through them, finding myself waiting patiently for this new instalment. I loved Thea’s character instantly! I could connect with her so well, not just because we both work in libraries, but because she’s such a likeable character. I applauded her for going on holiday on her own, but also envied her for the prospect of three weeks peace and quiet, lying on beaches and reading books! The male interest in this book is the grumpy but equally lovely Ben who lives next door to the cottage where Thea is staying. Ben does have his issues, but they can all be forgiven for how perfect he seems…at times! We all know that there will be a will they-won’t they storyline, but we also find there’s a lot of stops and starts along the way. A cream tea consists of homemade baked scones, local clotted cream, strawberry jam and a pot of freshly brewed tea. It’s traditionally a speciality of Devon and Cornwall. The word scone originated in Scotland; ‘Skone’ comes from the Dutch word ‘schoonbrot’ which means beautiful bread. Cressida McLaughlin writes the best escapist, entertaining and enjoyable romantic comedies and her latest, The Cornish Cream Tea Holiday, is a warm-hearted, hilarious, emotional and captivating charmer that I couldn’t stop reading. An absolutely terrific tale imbued with so much fun, humour and poignancy, The Cornish Cream Tea Holiday is a feel-good and uplifting read guaranteed to leave every reader with a great big smile on their face. Set in Port Karadow so close by to the more familiar Porthgolow, it is a book filled with cameos of familiar characters from the Cream Tea Bus books, and being able to catch up with Finn and Meredith from the fifth book was a joy too.A Christmas Tail was first published in four ebook parts, known as The Primrose Terrace series and titled:
