Another aspect that really bothered is how unrealistic this book is. There is NO WAY that someone in real life would accept Eve as an employee after the horrible first impression she gave in her attempt at a job interview. And more, they certainly wouldn’t do it after she HIT THEM WITH A FREAKING CAR.

Eve is clear about who she is, and also knows how she falls short in certain areas. She wants nothing more than to stop being a source of embarrassment to her family. After her latest screwup, Eve‘s parents have had enough: they freeze her bank accounts and challenge her to find a job, and keep it for -GASP- one year. One whole year! Eve‘s sunshine demeanor immediately clashes with Jacob‘s grumpy side, but after Jacob becomes, ahem, indisposed, because Eve accidentally hits him with her car, he is forced to accept Eve‘s help to bring Castell cottage the exposure it deserves. In Act Your Age, Eve Brown the flightiest Brown sister crashes into the life of an uptight B&B owner and has him falling hard—literally. in fact, i generally misremembered this book, which is no longer 1 of 2 romances i've ever given five stars. it is funny, and it is fun, but it isn't the things i require in my perfect love stories (namely, mostly yearning and suffering). it is mostly silly and sexy.Monsters & Mates #1. A novella. Can actually be read whenever you like because it’s set in an entirely different universe that is basically the same as ours, except there are werewolves. Chastity is a huntress determined to slaughter all monsters, Luke is a monster determined to mate Chastity and love her forever and ever. This is, would you believe, a romantic comedy. Eve Brown is a certified hot mess. No matter how hard she strives to do right, her life always goes horribly wrong—so she’s given up trying. But when her personal brand of chaos ruins an expensive wedding ( someone had to liberate those poor doves), her parents draw the line. It’s time for Eve to grow up and prove herself—even though she’s not entirely sure how… Underneath the irresponsible behaviour lies a woman who’s quite unsure about who she is and fears failure.

Despite Jacobs’s initial objections, with a turn of events, Eve begins working at the B&B. This change might just prove eventful for Eve. I thought the first book in this series was good. I thought the second was not. This was something else altogether.or when i read this book, which i recalled as being cute and fluffy and one of the only romances i have ever given five stars, and lent to my mom.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown was simply a pitch-perfect story for my tastes. Sexy, bold, diverse, funny, and moving, I got everything I wanted and more from this story. I loved the brash kind protagonist. I loved the shy rough around the edges sweet love interest. I loved the fun dialogue, I loved (for once in my life!) the steamy scenes, I loved the complicated loving family, and I loved watching these two miscommunicate and yell and fall in love. Jacob Wayne is in control. Always. The bed and breakfast owner’s on a mission to dominate the hospitality industry—and he expects nothing less than perfection. So when a purple-haired tornado of a woman turns up out of the blue to interview for his open chef position, he tells her the brutal truth: not a chance in hell. Then she hits him with her car— supposedly by accident. Yeah, right. Novel-length The Fake Boyfriend Fiasco spinoff. A brooding and emotional romance between a gorgeous, wealthy, super-depressed hero and the gruff, lonely fruit farmer he works under for the summer. They hate each other. Supposedly. Who do I think should read this book? If you loved both Chloe and Dani’s books, I believe you would also enjoy this one, although, in my view, those ones are better. Also, if you like smutty romances and a quirky protagonist, you should give it a chance. If those two don’t appeal to you and if you dislike insta-love too, then give this book a pass.

Part 4: Fantastic Chapters from Act Your Age, Eve Brown

Standalone, full-length novel. A fake-relationship romance between a bisexual Scandinavian prince who’s into light domination and a fed-up British office worker who is also into that, as it turns out plays his fake fiancée. I was extremely excited to read this story because I love books with neurodiverse main characters. I'm really drawn to them, and I actively seek out romances with characters who are not neutrotypical. However, the intense chemistry and excellent writing is what made this story special.
