Then I'm sorry but for most of the book I just could not stand Dan. If he wanted to be with someone else, a man at that - why the hell did he agree to have a baby with his girlfriend?? It's not like they got pregnant on accident, they discussed it first. The fact that he was cheating on her with a man through the pregnancy just got me. Now that the kid is here you finally decide you want to be honest about what you feel?! Really?? These people have known each other for many years .. some since childhood, some since college days. They all think they really know each other .. but they have no idea. Ask a benign question, and he answers with a snide comment or a defensive counter-question. Every time you try to talk to him about something, he either turns it into a fight or brushes you off and walks away. For me the title didn't really fit with the story as it wasn't one husband that was lying. They all was lying. From Affairs, sexuality confusion, mental health the whole book was based on lies and deceit. You inspire me to do better and not give up on or underestimate myself. I’ve lost count of the ways you’ve helped me grow since I’ve known you.

So on reflection, as much as I wish otherwise this one wasn't quite to my taste; maybe it will be more to yours.
