One of the team is that old favourite, the Disgraced Former Colleague With A Drug Problem and, while some of his early behaviour and decision-making once he decides to go cold turkey mid-mission reflect the state he'd be in, it's barely an inconvenience and is quickly forgotten.Needless to say, all doesn't exactly go according to plan, especially when Drake gets entangled with a mysterious former operative by the name of Anya. But as the stranger’s insidious influence grows stronger, he begins to realise the key to unravelling the present lies in his own shadowy past. Likewise, the characterisation of members of Drake’s disparate team and his oily superiors is equally balanced and I particularly liked Drake’s nemesis Dietrich who Drake reluctantly adds to his team and the way their rocky history comes to light. He gained an honours degree in Information Technology and currently works in web design for Sky Digital.
