Description

From the co-creator of the landmark series Twin Peaks, the story millions of fans have been waiting to get their hands on for more than 25 long years. Major Briggs, our Archivist, had determined to reveal to Cooper the full history of his work with Doug Milford — the very dossier that makes up the bulk of the book. Norma’s backstory reveals that her maiden name is Lindstrom, there’s no mention of any siblings, and her mother was Ilsa and died in the early 80s. On its own, it provides an engrossing story which depicts a conflict between the spiritual mysteries which unite us and the clandestine withholding of truth that divides us.

Another teaser was posted to the account on September 20, containing the Chief Joseph quote, "I will go now to the place of smoke by the great falls and twin mountains to seek the aid of the Great Spirit Chief in this time of need. In The Secret History of Twin Peaks, Jacoby states that Laura began seeing him six months before her death, when The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer states that she began seeing him over a year prior. Milford recruited Major Garland Briggs as his successor, and the end of the novel reveals Briggs as the mysterious Archivist. Jeffries has been randomly time traveling/teleporting since disappearing in Seattle, and Cooper appears to exist outside of conventional time while being trapped in the Black Lodge. But for those who obsess over the stranger elements of the series, this is what we’ve been waiting for. If true, this would give new meaning to the name of the book: this is a secret history of Twin Peaks because this version of Twin Peaks has been hidden from us. One barely-comic subplot centered on the marriage of femme fatale Lana Budding to elderly newspaper owner Dougie Milford. The dossier ended with a 'MAYDAY' message from Briggs on March 28, 1989, and Agent "TP" sent her findings to her superiors, signing her name as Tamara Preston. This would make him a 16 year old 3rd grader since the Log Lady was in third grade in 1947 according to the "Three Students Vanish" entry beginning on page 142. Things such as Cooper being shot instead of stabbed, or Leland never having been officially charged for smothering Jacques, might just be mistakes that slipped through the cracks during editing.
