About this deal

The side panels toward the front of the ship use studs-not-on-top techniques, which feature nice greebling. Two small cannons are mounted on either side, and the cannon barrels can be adjusted up and down. The front of the ship seems to be yet another area where the designers tried to make the best of a limited space. This is supposed to be the front hangar of the ship, and you can take one of the TIEs from the rear hangars and place them here. This Imperial Light Cruiser forms the base of operations for Moff Gideon during the second season of The Mandalorian. The minifigure selection in this set is based on that final confrontation between the Mandalorian and Moff Gideon, with several other supporting cast from the season also included. This review might contain some spoilers for the episode.

However, this area is unfortunately inaccurate – in between each main thruster there should be two smaller thrusters, and as such the design of this rear section does not match the in-universe ship. Nevertheless, I still like the look of this area, it’s just a shame the extra thrusters were omitted. The engine pods are large cylinders built using round panel pieces. 4×4 trans light blue radar dishes are used for the thruster glow, while there are some small greebling details around. I’m also not a fan of the exposed blue pins at the front, as they’re quite obvious from most angles. I wish LEGO included a couple more pieces to cover these up and preserve the uniform grey design. She has arm printing on both arms which is really the cherry on top, elevating this to be another excellent Star Wars figure. A top gift idea for boys and girls age 10+ and any fan, the set comes with step-by-step building instructions. Explore the entire LEGO Star Wars range to find other construction sets that will delight all ages.

Weapon and accessory elements include: The Mandalorian’s Amban phase-pulse blaster and spear, Moff Gideon’s darksaber, 2 thermal detonators and electrobinoculars to inspire creative play Beyond that, 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser does what it needs to do –strike a balance between play and display in recreating a large-scale ship in LEGO form. But that it has to do so in direct competition with such a range of other LEGO Star Wars ships releasing at the same time, and all of them much cheaper, is where it faces a real challenge. — Characters — She is armed with a blaster rifle that has a lightsaber hilt mounted on the end to make it even longer. The next minifigure is exclusive, and is none other than Moff Gideon himself. His head print looks accurate, but his torso print design is surprisingly simple and the legs are unprinted. The Imperial Light Cruiser measures over 5 in. (13 cm) high, 22.5 in. (58 cm) long and 8.5 in. (22 cm) wide. i clearly do not understand who needs that much remakes.. and its ooooold.. the beard of that is longer then 10 years. if i would let mine grow that long i would be falling over and over. I'm not too bothered about the inaccuracies compared to Arquitens. I'm sure this is simply a problem with the designers reference material, as even in universe the distinction between Arquitens and Gideon's ship is a little unclear.

It is still excellent though, with a brand new helmet mould that fits over a minifigure head, and simply looks gorgeous. It has a printed shoulder armour piece and some nice torso and leg printing. In many ways, 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser is close to the limit of what it can be in functions, design and authenticity for the piece count and number of minifigures included. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the price, which stretches at least 30% beyond that same limit. The selection of minifigures seen during this wave of LEGO® Star Wars sets has been remarkable, and the ones included in this set are no exception, although it is a shame that many of them are only included in the most expensive set of the wave.

Ultimately, the sense of value can be best demonstrated in the surprise we felt when lifting up 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser when complete – it’s far heavier than we anticipated. That surprise, though, is a negative reflection of the how really it does not seem like 1,336 pieces of LEGO have gone into the set. It has the appearance of a set with closer to 800 pieces. Lots of Technic pins on the inside, lots of large grey panels on the outside. Despite displaying detail in certain sections 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser leaves considerable potential for improvement. The model is certainly substantial and the exterior seems relatively attractive, although some inaccuracies are inexcusable in my opinion. Moreover, the functions are remarkably scarce and more could have been provided, perhaps including somewhere for Dark Trooper deployment. Trouble on Tatooine introduced an updated Din Djarin minifigure, wearing his valuable beskar armour. The metallic silver panels covering the torso, legs and arms look excellent and stand out beautifully against the dark brown attire underneath. In addition, the various pouches and straps provide welcome detail, demonstrating fidelity to the onscreen character.
